Ideas: Idea input

BioKey Engineering values ideas from outside the company that are novel, interesting, profitable, and beneficial. The Smart Eye Patch™, was suggested by an ophthalmologist from Rotterdam, Dr. Jan-Tjeerd H.N. de Faber. He is now a co-inventor of an entire class of devices, Smart Bandages™.

BioKey Engineering accepts ideas for consideration from anyone. Not all suggested ideas are accepted. If you suggest an idea, we first need to know: Is the idea yours? Does any other party have a claim on that idea? If you already have a patent on your idea, issues of ownership are much clearer. For less developed ideas, every bit of clarity and credibility helps.

In suggesting an idea or seeking advice from BioKey Engineering, please remember the following:

  1. Your initial disclosure must be non-confidential.
  2. Identify yourself, and any other parties that have helped you to recognize or express your idea.
  3. Reveal other parties with a legal claim to your idea or its benefits.
  4. State your idea or problem clearly.
  5. Describe your idea's markets, benefits and competition.
  6. Describe enough of your idea's mechanism to enable assessment of its merits.
  7. Append documentation that can help in evaluating your suggestion or request.
